After Turin, Cannes and Lisbon, the artisanal flavors of the NIVÀ ice cream shop finally arrive in Porto with the opening of the first store in Matosinhos. 102 Rua Sousa Aroso was the space chosen to host the first store of the Italian brand in the north of the country and the third in the national territory.
Inspired by artisanal passion, NIVÀ ice cream parlor celebrates a journey marked by tradition, demand and quality, in which the rigorous selection of raw materials serves as a differentiating element. Exclusively Italian Alpine milk, Piedmont hazelnuts and pine nuts, ground roasted coffee, hand-crushed foundant chocolate. These are some of the ingredients that make NIVÀ ice cream truly unique and the best in Italy – a prize awarded by the gastronomic guide Gambero Rosso.
Produced daily with 100% natural ingredients of the highest quality, there are more than 200 ice cream flavors that promise deliciously unforgettable experiences. And because tradition also gives way to innovation: some of the most iconic recipes in Italian ice cream even have the signature of renowned chefs, some of whom have been awarded Michelin stars.
Served in a glass or cone, with a cookie and topping on offer, there is no limit to the flavors. So you can enjoy artisanal ice cream in the comfort of your home or surprise someone special with a sweet moment, the NIVÀ ice cream parlor also offers a take-away service.
The artisanal flavor of NIVÀ was born in 1988, when Diana de Benedetti and her husband Silvio Rivolta opened Bontan, a restaurant that would win a Michelin star. Today, the love for authentic flavors is found in the ice creams that Diana and Daniel, son of art, produce by hand and you can taste them at the new ice cream parlor in Matosinhos, Porto.
